Posted on: 27/01/2025Year 1 Phonics Workshop - 22nd January 2025The Year 1 Phonics Workshop held on Wednesday, 22nd January 2025, was a resounding success. Designed to support parents in helping their children on their reading journey, the session offered practical strategies for use at home and provided valuable insight into the upcoming phonics screening check. The event included an engaging presentation, a live phonics demonstration, and a Q&A session, which allowed parents to ask questions and gain clarity on how best to support their child's learning. Feedback from attendees highlighted the workshop's informative and practical nature. We thank all parents who attended for their enthusiasm and engagement, and we look forward to continuing to work together to support our pupils' early reading development.
Posted on: 23/01/2025Houses of Parliament VisitJanuary 2025 On Monday 20th January, 20 of our school council members went to the Houses of Parliament for a day full of fun activities. We were treated to an interactive video telling us about the history of the Parliament. Once that was done, we then split up and went into groups to have a tour, we were all fascinated and in awe of the history, beauty and how Parliament worked. As a group, we were constantly on the lookout for members of Parliament! What a fantastic experience and day for our school council!
