Posted on: 23/03/2025Science Day - Friday 21st March
OLOG Primary School was buzzing with excitement as we celebrated British Science Week with a thrilling Science Day on Friday, March 21st! This year's theme, "Change and Adapt," inspired a day of hands-on learning and discovery across all year groups.
Years 5 and 6 stepped into the shoes of real scientists, racing against time to develop a cure for a "new disease" sweeping the town. With expert guidance from Cambridge Science Centre and scientists from Roche, our young problem-solvers worked together, applying their knowledge to save the day!
Years 3 and 4 explored the theme through an exciting carousel of experiments, investigating different ways the world around us changes and adapts.
Meanwhile, our youngest learners in EYFS and KS1 discovered the magic of metamorphosis, crafting beautiful paper caterpillars that transformed into vibrant butterflies.
It was a fantastic day filled with curiosity, creativity, and collaboration—showing that the next generation of scientists is already well on its way!
