Farewell Mass for Fr Hyacinth 3rd April 2025 at 11am - School Hall

We have received the sad news that Father Hyacinth will be leaving our parish. He has been a valued part of our community, offering guidance, support, and spiritual leadership to our school and parish family. To say farewell and show our appreciation for his dedication, we will be holding a whole school Mass on Thursday, 3rd April 2025, at 11:00 AM in the school hall. We warmly invite all parents to join us for this special occasion as we thank Father Hyacinth for his service and wish him well in his next chapter. We hope to see many of you there. Ms. Huynh

Science Day - Friday 21st March

OLOG Primary School was buzzing with excitement as we celebrated British Science Week with a thrilling Science Day on Friday, March 21st! This year's theme, "Change and Adapt," inspired a day of hands-on learning and discovery across all year groups. Years 5 and 6 stepped into the shoes of real scientists, racing against time to develop a cure for a "new disease" sweeping the town. With expert guidance from Cambridge Science Centre and scientists from Roche, our young problem-solvers worked together, applying their knowledge to save the day! Years 3 and 4 explored the theme through an exciting carousel of experiments, investigating different ways the world around us changes and adapts. Meanwhile, our youngest learners in EYFS and KS1 discovered the magic of metamorphosis, crafting beautiful paper caterpillars that transformed into vibrant butterflies. It was a fantastic day filled with curiosity, creativity, and collaboration—showing that the next generation of scientists is already well on its way!

Our Lenten Journey

Each day children of Our Lady of Grace school will be walking for Lent as part of The Big Lenten Walk. We will be asking for donations at the end of the day and proceeds will go to CAFOD to help fight global poverty. We are trying to beat the £60 we raised last year and this year we have card readers for those of you who do not carry cash.  We will also accept cash.  We are humbled by your donations as we have raised £231 on the first day and look forward to raising more money. On this site we will be adding the amount of money we have raised so far. World Book Day

The school's World Book Day festivities on March 6th and 7th were a huge success. Students engaged in a variety of activities and were delighted to welcome the author, Agnieszka Migew. To enrich the experience, we organised an engaging line up of activities to foster a love for literature amongst our students. Parents came into the classrooms to read with children. To add to the festivities, our dedicated staff dressed up as beloved traditional characters. Students embarked on an exciting treasure hunt, with each teacher guiding them through clues to discover various characters. It was a wonderful couple of days, enjoyed by the whole school community.
