Year 6 Woolwich Garrison Church

On Thursday and Friday Year 6 had the fantastic opportunity to go to St George's Garrison Church in Woolwich. The Garrison church was bombed in the Second World War with only the altar, the crypt and the skeleton of the church remaining. The children were given a talk by the Chairman of the Woolwich Garrison Church Trust Tim Barnes. They were given the history of the church and why it was such a special place. The children were then given the opportunity to complete a treasure trail looking for clues and answers to the questions around the church. It was a wonderful day, full of History which all of the children really enjoyed.

Macmillan Coffee Morning - Friday 27th September

Thank You for Your Generous Support! We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible turnout and support at our Macmillan Coffee Morning! Your generous donations, enthusiasm, and community spirit helped make the event a wonderful success. Thanks to your kindness, we were able to raise £500 all of which will go directly towards supporting the vital work Macmillan Cancer Support does for individuals and families affected by cancer. We are so lucky to have such a supportive and caring parent community, and this event has highlighted the strength of our collective effort. Together, we are making a meaningful impact. Once again, thank you for your generosity and for making this event one to remember. We look forward to more opportunities to come together in the future!

Southwark Cathedral - Mini Vinnies at Beginning of Year Mass

ini Vinnies at the Beginning of Year Mass We are thrilled to share the success of a very special event that took place on Thursday, 26th September 2024. Our UKS2 Mini Vinnies had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the Beginning of Year Mass and Commissioning, led by Archbishop John Wilson at St. George’s Cathedral, Southwark. Along with schools and colleges from across the Archdiocese of Southwark, our students gathered to celebrate and renew their commitment to the Catholic life and mission for the new academic year. This event marked the start of our Mini Vinnies' service and dedication to helping others within our community. The Mass was a beautiful and inspiring occasion, bringing together young people and educators alike, unified in faith and purpose. We would like to thank everyone involved, and especially Archbishop John Wilson, for his guidance and leadership throughout this significant celebration. Our Mini Vinnies returned to school motivated and excited for the year ahead, ready to embrace their role in living out the values of service, compassion, and community. We look forward to seeing the wonderful work they will continue to do!
